Moving cyclically with the seasons.

Each painting in the spring collection holds a feeling of the landscape, featuring colours mixed from a palette of anthraquinone blue. The tactility of each stroke of paint with this deep indigo hue captures a dark horizon, caught between a bright and contrasting sky and sea. Rich hues of green and subtle colours of sand form studies of Gwynver and the west coast - simple observations across the landscape.

All works in my latest series are connected to the cyclical nature of the seasons, how the landscape responds to the light and the elements and capturing a feeling of the endlessly changing colours and forms. The energy of a bright spring morning is so different to the evening warmth of summer, the rich light of autumn or the harsh textures of a winter landscape.
